April 2006
The boys and the widows are all doing well; our workers in India are all doing well.

The boys did well on their final school exams. They are improving in their physical and spiritual health. The boys will enjoy their summer break from school during the months of April, May, and part of June. Our year of helping two more widows has already come to an end. Of course, GEM will maintain contact and be available to help these “graduated” widows. Joseph will be having two new widows that will receive training while also helping Lalitha, Joseph Murala’s wife, in the cooking of food and regular care of the boys. Lalitha and Joseph raised a family of six children and now they are raising orphans when they are in their middle 50’s. The widows are being trained to lead home church cells of believers and nonbelievers, who are searching for the truth of Jesus Christ.

We need a reliable used vehicle in India. Pray for Abraham and Joshua, Joseph’s sons, as they look for a vehicle that can be used for GEM. Due to the annual rainy season, it would be useful to have a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Our DVD production plans did not materialize in the San Diego area as we had hoped. Fortunately, God has led us to a local Christian man who is currently helping us make our DVD production of our trip to India and the goals of GEM.

There have also been delays in the architectural design of the campus in India. Hopefully, by the end of April, we will have our campus designed and our DVD completed. We will then make presentations in our local churches and mail copies of the DVD production to those who would be happy to share the message with their churches or home fellowship groups.

GEM is just in its early stages of development, but God is moving us forward for His glory and purposes.

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’”
(Matthew 19:26).

The angel told Mary, “Even Elizabeth your relative is going to a have a child in her old age, and she, who was said to be barren, is in her sixth month [of pregnancy]. For nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:36-37).

“But God raised Jesus from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him” (Acts 2:24).

God bless you during the month of April.

Desiring that Jesus work in and through us,
